A practice log your students actually keep

Set up a free studio in Shedtime and give every student one code. Their practice week shows up on your phone before the lesson, and the practice list you set shows up on theirs.

What you see

• Every connected student, least practiced first: minutes this week against their goal, practice days, streak, and when they last practiced.
• Four weeks of practice by day, so you can see the pattern, not only the total.
• How often each item on the practice list came up this week.
• Whether a parent signed off the week.

What you send

• The practice list: pieces, scales and exercises, with a line on how to practice each.
• A goal: minutes a day and days a week, which replaces the family's own.
• The lesson day, so the student's practice week runs from lesson to lesson.
• A note after the lesson, shown on the student's practice screen.

How to start

1. Install Shedtime and choose I teach music.
2. Enter your name and your studio's name. You get a six-letter studio code.
3. Send the code to your students' families. They set up their practice log and tap Connect a teacher.

Privacy for families

Families keep their own practice log. Your studio sees each student's weekly numbers and list progress; notes and who logged each session stay with the family. A family can disconnect at any time, and you can remove a student from your studio.
